Sacred Practices

“When you are in touch with your body and heart, it allows you to then be in the world and act with intention, clarity and kindness”

- Tara Brach

At Pachanoi we believe that true healing and self-awakening come from within. Our retreats offer a unique space dedicated to the practice of embodiment, through yoga and mindfulness meditation. We create an environment where you can safely go deeper into your own body’s wisdom and discover new levels of connection and harmony.

YOGA

Yoga is an ancient practice that has been around for thousands of years. It originated in India as a spiritual practice and it has since become popular all over the world. Yoga is not only a physical exercise; it is also an embodiment practice that can help us to heal and awaken our inner selves and enhance our well-being. Yoga is a profound and holistic approach to health and wellness that focuses on the connection between mind, body, and spirit. During the retreat, Uli will share from various yogic traditions and immerse us in the Yoga world to support our healing journey. With his guidance, we will discover yoga’s many health benefits, and learn how to incorporate it into our lives to enhance our well-being.

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

Mindfulness meditation, also known as Insight and Vipassana meditation, is an ancient practice that has its roots in Buddhist teachings dating back to 2,600 years ago!

The Pali word “Vipassana” means “seeing things as they are”, which is the purpose of this meditation technique: to strengthen our capacity to experience things clearly as they really are, without the filter of discursive thinking, evaluation or habitual reactivity.

Mindfulness meditation is a powerful practice that can bring greater peace, clarity and freedom into our lives. By focusing on the present moment we can learn to take a step back and observe our thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations without judgment or attachment. We become more aware of our inner state so that, instead of getting lost in an endless cycle of mental chatter, regretting the past or worrying about the future, we can learn to be fully present and embrace each moment as it arises. With time and practice, meditation helps us to cultivate inner stillness and build self-awareness, acceptance, understanding and compassion -all of which are essential ingredients for a life of greater peace, joy and freedom.

Practicing mindfulness regularly can bring many benefits such as increased focus, improved mental clarity, stress reduction, improved immune system functioning, and enhanced emotional regulation. Additionally, mindfulness can help us break free from destructive patterns of thought or behavior by bringing greater self-awareness and insight into our lives.

During the retreat, we will explore this powerful practice with daily guided meditation sessions, lectures and discussions on the topics of mindfulness of the body, mindfulness of emotions, mindfulness of thoughts and lovingkindness.

Our retreats are open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike – no matter your level of yoga and meditation experience, you’ll find something valuable to learn and explore. We invite you to join us on this journey of healing and self-discovery as we explore together the depths of embodiment practices, mindful clarity, inner peace and true connection!
